Turning of the Feather

"His dreams have shown  him how this turn from Black to White,

Can change a man.

Visions in the day reveal to him,

How a woman's smells may even weaken men.

This  man who lays awake at night holding her close to him,

His senses bow down to smells,

The Feather lays closely by near his shirt and leggings,

He tosses as he lays and wonders how she untapped,

All of his past and hidden feelings.

This time he does not desire to lay awoke at night,

He decides to leave as he begins to gather,

All the things he has acquired in this life.

Trying so hard to leave her smells behind.

His hopes are to travel further North to find,

Wise counsel to give answers on how this feeling,

Can leave his system and his dreams.

Yet the Feather that he packs,

Continues to turn all its edges from West to North.

So goes this process of this Black Feather turning,

A snow colored white.

He thinks of this and stares at her,

Now he knows the callings of Spirit World.

He lays back down as he reaches over and holds her,

Near, close, and tight to him.

When morning brings faded pink-blue ribboned skies,

He stretches for his hand,

And reaches up to hold this Feather,

That by so clearly now smells of her.

She then begins to stare at him,

Her eyes now see his arm stretched up high pointing East.

She stares at how his body illuminates,

This northeastern lake and shore.

The wonderment is seen in each blink of her eyes,

For few that walk the Earth have seen,

A Black Feather turning White.

She stands to sing:

"Oh to have the knowledge of these waves,

To gain the Wisdom of these winds," she shouts.

"My eyes have touched the Unseen World,

And yes my love, both you and them have healed my thoughts."

His mouth reveals the truth of all she said,

And he honors her as he too begins to sing:

"Yes all you named will heal our pasts,

And touch our souls if we so desire.

See all this happens 'woman that this man loves,'

When Black Feather turns to White."

Feather hears their cries,

And watches them,

As its pointed ends begin to spread,

And turn all White.

For a man knowing of the West and South,

And a woman knowing of the East and North,

Both need to share their pains.

Simple sharing of truths such as this,

Keeps the life cycle continuous.

Feather's powers live to direct two earthly beings to hear the call,

To focus from the self to others,

And to explore,

The heart while looking inward.

We then learn of love,

And begin the walk,

That Spirit World directs,

And gives us human beings songs of honesty and courage,

To sing about.

When man and woman begin these steps,

The Black Feather will appear in life,

It will beckon you to hold it,

Then watch the wonderment and the beauty,

Of Black Feather turning White.
